Life Coaching
Welcome to the Life Coaching section at Bellaonline.com. I’ve been appointed your host and I can’t tell you how delighted I am to be here!

What I’ve learned over the years is that we’re born with certain attributes. While you can trace my professional interest in self-development back to 1993 when I worked as a pre-employment counselor for an employment center, I’ve always wanted to be the best that I can be. In high school I consistently shot for the “A” in every class. To this day my mentality hasn’t changed.

In 1998, my focus turned to spirituality when I took a class on meditating. I was pregnant with my son and scared to death. Meditating helped me to relax and visualize a positive outcome. Also that year I read my first Iyanla Vanzant book called One Day My Soul Just Open Up. This book got me journaling again for the first time in about 11 years. Since reading One Day My Soul Just Opened Up, I’ve probably filled out over 50 journals!

In 1999 I entered into a rites of passage program called Sacred Women, which was founded by the renowned healer, Queen Afua. While Sacred Women was spiritually based, the results were tangible in terms of eating healthy food, developing a strong sense of self, healing relationships etc.

I’m also a writer (92’ BA Print Journalism Penn State University) so my interest in life transformation is reflected in my work. Spanning the last eight years I’ve written over 100 articles, profiles, reviews, short stories and essays for more than twenty different publications. My first book, Again and Again, a coming of age love story, was released in January 2005.

Currently, I’m working on several contemporary African American romance novels. I give my characters real difficulties like body image issues and bereavement problems. Then I help them work through their troubles so they not only get their love interest in the end, more importantly they step into a whole new world that they created. This is also the goal for myself and for you.

Please remember that I am not a counselor, but a sister traveler on the journey. My job is to experience life then to share. Always seek professional help from competent professionals when necessary.
