NASA scientists are reporting that the Russian meteor was more than 55 feet in size and it weighed in at 10000 tons. The meteor caused 33 million dollars in damage and was brighter than the sun for a few seconds!

The Kamchatka peninsula is home to a number of volcanoes. In January of 2013, a volcano known as the Kizimen erupted in a magnificent display and created lakes of hot, flowing lava.
